The Challenge
In May 2026, De Roeck asked us to strengthen their SEO and GEO visibility. A SEO optimisation ensures that a website is more easily found in search engines such as Google, while a GEO optimisation focuses on AI search agents. This helps businesses become more visible in their region and in modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.

Remarkable Results
Just three months after launching the first content clusters, De Roeck’s local visibility increased spectacularly. Their presence in AI-generated answers doubled from 16.4% to 37%, and their average position improved from 4.7 to 3.6. This means De Roeck is now far more frequently cited as a source when AI agents formulate their responses.
The commercial segment also grew rapidly: visibility rose from 4.5% to 10%, and the average position improved from 5.5 to 4.1. The result is more visitors, more local leads, and a stronger digital presence.
We monitor De Roeck’s visibility across five widely used AI agents: Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overview, and Google AI Mode. All these tools are now more inclined to use De Roeck’s website as a source, with the most significant improvements seen in Perplexity and ChatGPT.
Naturally, the average position also improved. In Perplexity, De Roeck consistently ranks among the top three sources. The average position in ChatGPT and Gemini are 3.9 and 3.8 respectively. A strong position is crucial for better online visibility. The figures below show how De Roeck has significantly improved its visibility and ranking within these AI agents.
