Applic Group attaches great importance to the protection of your privacy. We therefore only process the data we need to (improve) our services and we will carefully handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and services offered by Applic Group. The effective date of validity of these terms is 04/05/2018, with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what information about you we collect, how we use it, with whom and under what conditions it may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data and how we protect it from misuse and your rights regarding the personal data you have provided to us.

Web hosting

Combell

We purchase web hosting and e-mail services from Combell. Combell processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Combell has put in place appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. According to the agreement, Combell is bound to secrecy.
 
 

E-mails and mailing lists

MailChimp

We send our newsletters by e-mail with MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and e-mail address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically by our website, you will find an “unsubscribe” link. You will then no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data will be stored securely by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other Internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data to improve its services and, as part of this process, to share information with third parties.
 
 

Reviews

Google

We collect reviews using the Google platform. If you leave a review via Google, you must provide your name, city and email address. Google shares this information with us. Google also publishes your name and location on its own website. In some cases, Google may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we will share your name and email address with Google. They will only use this information for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Google has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Google reserves the right to use third parties for the provision of services, we have given Google permission to do so. All the above-mentioned safeguards for the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of the service for which Google uses third parties.
 

Facebook

We collect reviews using the Facebook platform. If you leave a review via Facebook, you are required to provide your name, location and email address. Facebook shares this information with us. Facebook also publishes your name and location on its own website. In some cases, Facebook may contact you with an explanation of your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with Facebook. They only use this information for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Facebook has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Facebook reserves the right to engage third parties to provide services; we have given Facebook permission to do so.
All of the above safeguards for the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of the service for which Facebook engages third parties.
 
 

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data exclusively in connection with our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the task you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing purposes. If you share information with us and we use this information to contact you at a later date, other than at your request, we will ask for your explicit permission. Your data will not be shared with third parties except to meet accounting and administrative requirements. These third parties are all bound to secrecy by an agreement between them and us or by oath or legal obligation.
 
 

Automatically collected data

The data collected automatically by our website are processed in order to further improve our services. This data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.
 
 

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

Where appropriate, Applic Group may be required by law to share your data in connection with government fiscal or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are obliged to share your data, but we will object to this to the extent permitted by law.
 
 

Storage conditions

We will keep your data for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you do so, we will also consider this to be an opt-out request. On the basis of the applicable administrative obligations, we have to keep the invoices containing your (personal) data, and we will therefore keep this data for as long as the applicable period lasts. However, employees will no longer have access to your customer profile and the documents we have produced on your instructions.
 
 

Your rights

In accordance with applicable Belgian and European legislation, you have certain rights as a data subject with respect to personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We explain below what these rights are and how you can exercise them.

In order to prevent misuse, we will only send copies of your data to your e-mail address, which is already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at another e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of completed requests; in the case of a forgotten request, we administer anonymous data. All copies and data will be received in the machine-readable data format we use in our systems.

You have the right to complain to the Privacy Commission at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.
 
 

Right of inspection

You always have the right to inspect the data that we process or have processed, that concern you or that can be traced back to you. You can send a request to this effect to our contact for privacy issues. You will receive a reply to your request within 30 days. If your request is successful, we will send you a copy of all the data to the e-mail address we have on record, together with a list of the processors holding that data and the category under which we have stored it.
 
 

Right of rectification

You always have the right to have the data that we process or have processed and that concern you or can be traced back to you modified. You can send a request to this effect to our contact for privacy issues. You will receive a reply to your request within 30 days. If your request is accepted, we will send you a confirmation of the data change to the e-mail address we have registered.
 
 

Right to restrict processing

You always have the right to restrict the data that we process (or have processed) about you or that we can trace. You can send a request to this effect to our contact for privacy issues. You will receive a reply to your request within 30 days. If your request is accepted, we will send you a confirmation to the e-mail address you have provided, indicating that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
 
 

Right to portability

You always have the right to have the data we process or have processed that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you executed by another party. You can send a request to this effect to our contact for privacy issues. You will receive a reply to your request within 30 days. If your request is accepted, we will send you, to the e-mail address you have provided, extracts or copies of all information about you that we have processed or that has been processed by other data controllers or third parties on our behalf. In all likelihood, we will not be able to continue to provide services in such a case, as the secure interconnection of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
 
 

Right of objection and other rights

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Applic Group. If you object, we will immediately stop processing the data in anticipation of your objection being processed. If your objection is valid, we will make available to you extracts and/or copies of the data we are processing (or have processed) and then permanently cease processing.
You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you think this is the case, please contact our privacy contact person.
 
 

Cookies

Google Analytics

Through our website, cookies are placed by the American company Google, as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and report on how visitors use the website. This subcontractor may be required by applicable laws and regulations to provide access to this data. We collect information about your browsing behavior and share this data with Google. Google may interpret this information in conjunction with other data sets and thus track your movements on the Internet. Google uses this information to serve you targeted ads (Adwords) and other Google services and products.
