Adaptive Design

Adaptive design is similar to responsive design, but not entirely the same thing. Whereas a responsive design is one design made to fit different screen sizes, in adaptive designs, a completely different design is made for each screen size. Generally, there are designs specifically catering to desktops and laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
